Gwendolyn grew up in Michigan's Detroit area during the era
known as "the best time to grow up" by people approximately
her age. After having earned a BA in Social Science from
Spring Arbor College (now University) in 1981, she raised
her children for 30 years, then earned an MA in Marriage
and Family Therapy from Liberty University in 2017.
She and her husband have been married since 1981 and are
the parents of three adult children and grandparents of five.
She brings a lifelong love of people and wealth of life
experience to the therapy setting, including having raised
a special needs child, served in the pastoral ministry
alongside her husband, and conducted extensive advocacy.
Gwen's genuineness, warmth, compassion, and
occasional humor create an environment where
trust can develop and healing can occur within a
client-centered, collaborative, strengths-based
framework. She is passionate about connection
and healing within oneself, as well as among
one's familial and social associations.
A Christian who welcomes clients of any faith, Gwendolyn is a
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT),
National Certified Counselor (NCC), and
American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Clinical Fellow.
She is licensed to practice throughout Kentucky in person and via telehealth.
